Not only do wardrobes change with the seasons, but a home's thermal imaging becomes most dramatic as the temperatures shift from Fall into winter.  Driving around Nantucket, we are picking up remarkable infrared images of houses that simply aren't insulated and leak heat like the exhaust of a commercial jet.  I want to give every one of them a blanket and a glass of hot buttered rum.  Jeff and I are now offering Weatherization cocktails in the form of blown in cellulose which can be retrofit into existing homes for important insulation upgrades.  Air sealing will continue to be the number one saver in heating and cooling, and added insulation will really inhibit the thermal bridging that many older homes inevitably experience.
