Mission Statement

Our mission is to afford our clients a streamlined process that minimizes cost and environmental impact, as well as creating a structurally sound and aesthetically exciting environment.  As a production business, the design decision process is our driving force because it provides a foundation for the proposed project and allows precision in the planning phase.

Each project is viewed as a unique physical ecology that positively affects its occupants’ health and well-being, as well as that of its neighbors and community.

Our objective is a progressively functional one, implementing conservation of energy as our driving principle.  This is in two parts: 1) during production through the recycling of available materials, use of space, and in the use of scaled economies, and 2) in the building’s future function as an energy efficient environment.

As a group, we are imbedded in the growing environmental movement, each of us ethically bound to create a healthy future for our children and grandchildren.

We look forward to working with you!  And if we already are, thank you.

Andy Buccino

Andy has been building for 13 years.  After receiving a General Studies degree in 1997, he moved to San Diego to pursue an English degree, instead becoming a production framer of custom homes. After 3 years and dozens of buildings up and down the west coast, he apprenticed for six months in a custom furniture shop, learning a contemporary aesthetic and evolving his woodworking skills.

In the fall of 2001, he followed an opportunity to move to Finland where he was immersed in the architectural design and construction techniques that have made Finland famous.

He moved to Nantucket in 2002, continuing  his building practice within the heritage of island living, working for numerous builders on a range of homes from historic rose covered cottages to elegant custom homes.

With a production methodology and attention to detail, Andy began project managing in 2005. Recognizing a client need for value and quality he began training in estimation, receiving honors for an ‘Estimation in Construction’ course.

- Received Massachusetts Contractor License in Spring of 2007.

- Trained at the Journal of Light Construction’s ‘JLC Live’ show at the Providence Convention Center, taking day long seminars in both Project Management and Estimation. JLC is the leader in construction training and education.

- Accepted to the Boston School of Architecture, Sustainable Design Institute pursuing a Sustainable Design in Construction certificate
